Refund Policy

Our approach to cancellations, rescheduling, and refunds for Python Institute courses and exams.

1. Standard Cancellation Windows

We balance flexibility for learners with the cost of reserving proctors and lab infrastructure. The schedule below applies to individual bookings unless your contract states otherwise.

After exam window opens Not eligible for refunds. N/A.

Fees are shown in INR / USD for reference. Your card is charged in the currency selected during checkout.

2. Exceptional Circumstances

We can authorise fee waivers or full refunds when documented events prevent you from sitting the exam.

  • Medical emergencies: Provide a dated doctor's certificate or hospital discharge summary.
  • Visa or travel denial: Share official immigration correspondence.
  • Infrastructure outages: Submit proof of regional power or internet disruption from your utility provider.

3. Corporate & Academic Cohorts

Bulk purchases follow the commercial agreement signed with Python Institute.

  • Seat transfers: Unused seats can be reassigned to another learner at no cost before exam booking.
  • Refund pool: Up to 20% of unused seats can be refunded within 60 days of the contract start date.
  • Custom terms: Enterprise and university partners should contact their account manager for tailored arrangements.

4. How to Request a Refund

Follow these steps to request a refund through your dashboard:

  1. Sign in and open Billing & History.
  2. Select the purchase and choose Request refund.
  3. Attach optional documentation (PDF or image).
  4. Track status inside the support centre or via email updates.

5. Scenarios Not Covered

The following situations are not eligible for refunds:

  • No-shows or arriving late after check-in closes.
  • Failure to meet identity verification requirements.
  • Personal preference changes once the exam has begun.
  • Accounts suspended for policy violations or academic dishonesty.

6. Processing Times

Refund processing times vary depending on your payment method and circumstances.

  • Standard processing: 5–7 business days for most requests.
  • Bank transfers: May take up to 14 days for international transactions.
  • Exceptional circumstances: Requests related to emergencies should be submitted within seven days of the scheduled exam start time.

7. Rescheduling Options

Need to change your exam date? Visit My Exams > Manage Booking in your dashboard.

  • Reschedule up to three times per registration.
  • Contact support if your preferred slot is unavailable.
  • Download the updated admit card once the change is confirmed.
